Design / Manage / Build
At Mitchell Homes, we like to make the building process as easy and carefree for our clients as possible. Below we have put together a short step by step guide on how our building process works.
- Initial Consultation
After contacting Mitchell Homes we will go through a pre-quote questionnaire with you to get a clear understanding of your needs, time frame and budget. From here we’ll arrange a time for us to visit you and your family at your home to discuss your alteration.
2. Build Cost Estimate
After meeting with you and discussing your alteration needs we will provide a full written itemized quote. At this point, if you are happy with the quote and wish to proceed we will start the design phase of your project.
3. Planning / Design
This step is where your alteration really starts coming to life. Part of our service is to organise our architect to meet with you and discuss your project. Our architect well then provide plans based around your specifications. From here we will give you a detailed final quote of work to be undertaken.
4. Signing Of Contracts
When you are happy with the final design /drawings and the final quote. We will prepare a Master Builder Association contract and arrange a time for both parties to sign.
Construction will begin on the date specified in the contracts. During construction, your site supervisor will manage the entire build progress of your job. We will provide weekly updates on progress throughout your entire project and ensure that all work is done in a safe way and to a high standard.
6. Practical Completion
When all works are completed a suitable time will be arranged for a full inspection of your project. Upon receipt of final payment, we will organise for issuing of the warranties and relevant certificates. Don’t worry, our involvement doesn’t end here! We’ll do a final meeting with you to ensure you’re happy at the end of the project.
